Beyond filing for a restraining order, the other primary option available to victims of domestic violence is contacting the police and filing criminal charges. In many cases, victims may choose to pursue both courses of action, and are in no way limited to just one. Call 9-1-1 – if you, your family, or a loved one is in immediate danger of domestic violence or any other violent crime, please contact the police by dialing 9-1-1 right away.
